Der Konjakschwamm / Konjac Sponge wird aus der Knolle der asiatischen Pflanze Teufelszunge “Amorphophallus Konjac” hergestellt, welche in Österreich auch Tränenbaum genannt wird. Deren Knolle nennt man Konjacwurzel.

In Japan und Korea wird Konjac als Nahrungsmittel gezüchtet. Doch es gibt auch viele Wildformen in der Natur. Da diese normalerweise in großen Höhen vorkommen, sind sie bersonders rein und schadstofffrei.

Im Schönheits- und Pflegebereich findet die Konjacwurzel seit etwas mehr als 100 Jahren Verwendung. Anfänglich für die zarte und empfindliche Babyhaut genutzt, wurde schnell klar, dass die ganze Familie einen Nutzen aus den Konjac-Schwämmen ziehen konnte und so nutzen immer mehr Menschen auch mit trockener und überempfindlicher Haut das sanfte Gewebe des Konjac Sponges.

Konjac ist eine sehr feuchtigkeitsreiche Pflanzenfaser, welche auf natürliche Weise alkalisch ist und so den Säuregehalt, den gestresste Haut bei unreiner und fettiger Haut aufweist wunderbar auszugleichen vermag.

Zudem enthält Konjac folgende positiven Inhaltsstoffe : Wasser, Proteine, Kohlehydrate, Lipide, Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium, Eisen, Phosphor, Kupfer, Panthotenat, Niacin, Fettsäuren, Folsäure, Zink und außerdem den Vitaminen A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, E und D.

Der Konjac Sponge besteht zu 100% aus der Konjacwurzel.

Da diese Schwämme so angenehm weich sind wurden Sie bereits vor mehr als 100 Jahren in Japan vor allem bei den Babys eingesetzt.
